About B2BITZ
Not designed on a whiteboard.
$ixty Thou$and is built by Jarosław Żytkiewicz (aka Janardana) who has actually stood in a mastering room full of hardware, listened to hundreds of records through it, and later learned to write the code to put that experience into software.
For years I ran a mastering studio built around a large rack of hardware processors — equalizers, compressors, stereo tools, saturators, the works. Running a room like that means more than owning the gear: it means testing unit after unit against real material, learning what each one actually does to a mix versus what its datasheet claims, and developing an ear for the small moves that make a record feel finished.
Before and alongside mastering, I worked for many years as a music producer, and produced sample packs and sounds for other producers. That taught me what makes material easy or hard to finish in the first place, and what a producer actually wants from a mastering tool: speed, and results they can trust.
The third piece is software development. Rather than describing the chain I wanted to a developer and hoping it translated, I built it myself — from the DSP of the 21-band engine and every processor to the plug-in itself. That's why it works the way it does: fast, opinionated macro controls for the decisions that are usually the same, and direct access to every band for the ones that aren't.
Hardware & Mastering
Years running a mastering studio built around a rack of hardware, testing against real material to learn what actually shapes a record.
Production & Sound Design
Many years as a producer, plus sample and sound design work — a practical sense of what a mix needs before it reaches mastering.
Software Engineering
Built end to end, from the DSP engine to the plug-in, so the tool matches the ear they were designed around.
